Color Combos Galore Challenge #148 is up and here's my LO for this beautiful color scheme -- the mix of dark pink, lavender and a kind of mustard yellow is unusual but so much fun to play with!
And the best part is, except for the pink lace and mist, everything else has been in my stash for at least the last 2 years (recognize the Basic Grey papers)...I can't believe I have finally found a use for that huge Prima flower!!!
Title: Yummy-licious
Materials: Cardstock - Bazzill; Patterned papers and alpha stickers - Basic Grey; Flower - Prima; Mist - Tattered Angels; Transparency - Hambly; Metal Tab - Making Memories; misc lace; border punch - Fiskars
Do try your hand at this one!

Happy Father's Day!
Belated Happy Father's Day to all the dads in your lives!
My husband got to decide on what we did yesterday...which is why this post got delayed. We had an 8:00am breakfast at CaraMia, followed by the 9:15am mass, then rushed to the 11:00am screening of Toy Story 3, and lunch at 1:00pm. We took a break in the afternoon but went out again for dinner at CPK.
For today, I have 3 LOs using Dan the Record Man from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker. I want to thank Nikki for letting me be on her team for another year, yehey!!! Nikki is such a joy to work with and working with an awesome team is a huge bonus!

Jetlag
...just gets worse as you get older. For the 3rd day in a row, the whole family was up by 3:30 am today (slightly better than the 2AM the last 2 days), so we decided to go to McDonald's for breakfast.
We arrived last Thursday, after 3 weeks of eating and travelling, to a home that is under renovation (and will be for the next 3 months)...and the stiffling heat of Manila...with an aching back (blame it on airline luggage surcharges so we had to maximize our allowed carry-ons)...and a rapidly growing list of things that needed to be done yesterday. Welcome to my reality!
So pardon me for this delayed posting of Sketchabilities #17 which was revealed last May 30.
Do check out the takes of my co-DT, never ceases to amaze me how many takes there are to the same sketch!
It's so hard to believe my 3-month term is up. Sketchabilities has a DT Call for the July-Sept 2010 term so please check it out.
Now time for me to go back to sleep ...it's 12noon already!

Above is the wicked June kit called "Dirty Martini" (don't you just adore the kit names that Tracy comes up with???) and below are my projects for this month, with some stuff from the add-on kits...

I loved working with this kit even if I only had 2 days to work with it since I had to go out of town...and still have many materials left over for when I get back! Cheers and Advanced Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in your life!

Happy Mother's Day!
Can't believe it's been another year since last Mother's Day. This is a day I have come to look forward to, and tomorrow I am celebrating my 10th Mother's Day!!! Hurray, for not yet losing my sanity!!!
I would like to believe that I am a different mom than I was 10 years ago...back then I was working, earning my own money, focused on being a career woman...but having kids changed all that. I decided soon after I got pregnant with Nadya, my 2nd child, that if there was something I didn't want to regret later on in life, it was that I didn't spend enough time with my kids as they grew up.
I am blessed to have a husband who supported my decision, and to even have that option available to me. Granted, being in a single-income household has its setbacks, but by and large, I am lucky to be "living the life"!
Here's a LO I made to celebrate my 10th Mother's Day using Ellie's Day Out from Nikki Sivils.

Snobby Walrus May Kit!

Well, the reveal isn't until May 1st so, for now, I have some sneaks for you using the gorgeous May Kit "Puddle Jumping" from Snobby Walrus.
Blog Hopscotch Time!!!

Thanks for coming to my blog and joining Kiki Art's first ever blog hop... However, we'd like to call it a BLOG HOPSCOTCH!
• When? During National Scrapbook Day weekend.
It will run from Thursday, April 29th until Monday, May 3rd.
• How to play?
You can start wherever you want, however, make sure to visit the blogs of our talented design team members. Also, please make sure to visit the Kiki Art blogs (English, French, and Spanish) to be eligible to win.
Each design team member was asked to select an organization that commits to helping others. Then, they created a project based on their organization featuring Kiki Art products. Make sure to take note of each organization/good cause each DT member has selected.
When you hop from blog to blog, hopefully you will get inspired by all of the beautiful Kiki Art work. We also hope that you are inspired to do good by getting involved in an effort to create a better world through these organizations.
• How to get a prize from the Kiki Art blog?
For your chance to win, you need to leave a comment on the Kiki Art blog letting us know which one(s) was/were your favorite blog(s) during our blog hop and what organization was displayed on that blog. (Don't limit yourself! You can choose as many blogs as you want!)
• How to get a prize from a Kiki Art design team member blog?
Many members of our design team have decided to give away a project that is related to the good cause they believe in. Leave a comment on their blog hop posts, and they will pick a random winner.
On Tuesday, May 4th, all winners will be announced!
Let the BLOG HOPSCOTCH begin!!! Get inspired and enjoy!

And here's my Earth Day give-away...a rolled paper frame using scrap papers from Kiki Art and cardboard backing from paper stacks.

This was so easy and fun to do. I picked it up from a project by Leah Fung, but made mine a little bigger. I whitewashed the frame to add a slightly distressed effect, and added the Kiki Art glitter heart chipboard and a metal word plate.
Leave a comment here to be included in a drawing to win this photo frame (open to all, international included).
Thanks again for dropping by...
