Christmas Countdown

If you have young kids, like I do, chances are, you're beginning to get tired of answering the question, "How many more days 'til Christmas?".

It was cute, at first, but when they start asking the same question everyday, several times a day, you start thinking that there has to be a better way.

And so here's my solution...a Christmas Countdown calendar.

The circles are attached with brads so they can slide it to the side to reveal a photo underneath.

Materials Used: DCWV cardstock, Basic Grey patterned papers, Absolument Scrap Stamps (Alphabet 7 Mail Art), Chalk ink, Ancient Page ink, Jo-ann Christmas Tree brads, HOTP clear embellishments, Making Memories metal symbols, misc lace and stickers

I also love that I finally got to use some old embellishments from my stash!

Cupcakes, Anyone?

Got a huge order for Christmas cupcakes (you know who you are), which are to be given as gifts.
After I finished the order, the kids got their turn at decorating their own cupcakes. Their treat for waiting several hours for me to finish my job. I'm not sure though how much of the icing went onto the cupcakes and how much went straight into their mouths!

Christmas Photo Shoot

Just got the slideshow from our photo shoot at Blow-up Babies Serendra. It's getting harder and harder to get a decent photo of all 3 kids smiling and looking at the camera, at the same time!

In between the screams of "Ouchie!" - Nadya complaining about her dress; "Luis stop moving!" - Mommy telling Luis to keep still; and "Ready, 1, 2, 3!" - Buddy as he prepares to throw Bianca in the air so she lands with a smile -- theoretically the time the shutter should go off -- I'm glad this is a once a year thing!

Christmas on my blog officially begins today! Merry Christmas everyone!

We Love Barney!

I don't know why I never thought of doing this myself when Luis & Nadya were younger. We attended cousin Liana's 2nd Birthday last Saturday and guess who the special guest was? Barney, of course! The birthday girl was thrilled, and so were Bianca and Nadya (who claims she still likes Barney a little).

Barney spent a lot of time with them, even playing with them in Liana's playroom! How precious is that?

Thank you so much Tita Leah for thinking up this wonderful surprise (and Lolo Willie for this gift to Liana)! This was much better than watching the Barney show, for sure (esp. because it was free)! The younger kids didn't even notice that their Barney didn't talk or sing...haha!
