Happy Easter!!!!

Here are 2 LOs of the kids before and after our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Last year, we forgot to bring our Easter baskets --- we usually go to my mom's vacation house in the province during this time where the closest mall is a 2 hour drive -- and all I could find in the sari-sari stores were these baskets used to carry fighting cocks!
The kids were happy though because they got to decorate the baskets (good thing I brought my Slice machine!) and they could hold so many more eggs!

AFTER
Title: Easter Loot

The Candy Man

Title: The Candy Man
Materials: Cardstock - DCWV; Patterned papers, buttons, stickers - Nikki Sivils; Pen - American Crafts; Punch - EK Success
Journaling: Luis isn't much of a candy-eater. except when it comes to lollipops...he just can't say "No!". Easter 2010

Here's a LO using Nikki Sivils "Something for Everyone" collection. I love the soft blue colors in this collection! Luis is growing up so fast, I don't even notice it until I take a look at his pictures...soon my little boy is going to be a little man...sniff, sniff...

Proud Boy

Here's a delayed post for my LO which was on the Pebbles blog last week...

The 1st day of 2011 was a fun and lazy kind of day for us...we woke up almost lunch time and decided to head to the club for a swim (for the kids), a run (Bud and I) and some kite-flying...

Title: Proud Boy
Journaling: Luis was so happy to finally be able to fly a kite -- and a Chinese centipede kite, at that! Daddy brought it home from one of his China trips! Jan. 1, 2011
Materials: Pebbles supplies used: New Arrival Boy Little Angel (751069), New Arrival Boy Precious (751071), New Arrival Boy Everything Sweet (751073), New Arrival Boy Peek-A-Boo (751075), New Arrival Boy Chips (744116), New Arrival Boy Word Stickers (732027), Tree House Laughter (751025), Tree House Chips (744114), Chocolate Brown Ribbon (744027)

It was really a perfect day for pictures and the New Arrival Boy line from Pebbles went perfectly with Luis' shot of flying his Chinese centipede kite!

Hang On

Here's a LO using one of Kiki-Art's newest lines Hot Air Balloon.  I hand-cut the clouds and made extras to use as masks for the mist -- love how that turned out. For extra dimension, I added some Stickles to outline the clouds. You have to agree that these Kiki-Art little people are adorable!!!

Materials: Patterned paper and lace - Kiki-Art; Vinyl Alphabet (American Crafts), Stickles, Pens (Zig, American Crafts), Journal Card (Jenni Bowlin), Mist (Tattered Angels), Punch (EK Success), Cardstock (Wassau), Clip (Creative Imaginations), Ink (Tsukineko)

Havin' a Good Time

Here's a LO of Luis taken last summer. I love these pics because it tells me that even if, as he says, he is almost as tall as me...he really still is a kid...especially when his friends are not around.

This swing he was on was for little kids, and was so close to the ground his Crocs were scrapping the sand and his feet could barely get off the ground...but he enjoyed the ride just the same.  I just bet that if any of his friends were there, he wouldn't even get near it just because it isn't cool.

Title: Havin' a Berry Good Time
Materials: Cardstock - Wassau (white), DCWV (yellow, red); Patterned papers, buttons & stickers - Nikki Sivils Blueberry Hill; Transparency - Hambly; Pens - American Crafts (black & white), Zig (green); Font : Apple Casual
Journaling: Luis didn't care that the swing was too small for him. All that mattered was that he was having fun. April 2010

Luis is my eldest and turns 10 yrs old in a few weeks...I can barely remember my life before I became a mom.  I know I was happy...after all, I had a job that I loved (and loved me back) and had married my Prince Charming.  But being a mom gave me so much more, that giving up my dream job to be here for my kids was a no-brainer.

Oh, definitely there are times when I wish I was back at work --- mostly when I want to blow away cash the way I used to...but most days, I just wake up thinking I'm the luckiest girl on earth! And if that isn't luck in itself, I don't know what is.
