CCG 167

This was a totally new color combination for me but I really love how my LO turned out. These pics were taken during our New Year's Eve party in Boracay. There's nothing like waiting for New Year at the beach! So much fun!

Do try this week's color combo # 167 and see what gorgeous LOs you come up with!

Autumn in Central Park

Here's a LO I made for Pebbles Inc, and my 1st-ever authentic Autumn LO. These pictures were taken by a friend while walking around Central Park. Makes me wanna go back there at this time of the year to see it all for myself. I don't think I'll ever tire of going to Central Park...there are so many nooks and crannies, it's so easy to get lost...and we've done exactly that the few times we were there!

Pebbles Materials Used:
744114 Tree House Pebbles Chips, 751027 Tree House View, 751030 Tree House Melody, 751004 Twitterpated Spark, 751008 Twitterpated Charm, 751043 Bow Wow, 751044 Shake, 751050 Kitty Condo, 42003 Earth Tone Chalks, 42061 Accents Chalk Stencils, 732001 Charming ABC Stickers

Other Supplies Used:

CCG 166

Here's this week's challenge and my LO for Color Combos Galore's challenge #166. I love the combination of blue and orange but usually use it for boy pages -- it's a nice change to do a girly page with these colors.

Title: Real Beauty
Materials: Cardstock - Wassau; Patterned papers - Crate paper, Studio Calico; Mist - Tattered Angels; Mask - Prima; Fabric Tab - Sassafras Lass; Chipboard - Dusty Attic, Buzz & Bloom; Key - Tim Holtz; Paint - Making Memories; Crackle Glaze - Ranger; Die-cut frame and border - Crate Paper; Misc lace; Rub-ons - Daisy Ds

Round N Round

Here's a LO I made for Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker's October Challenge to Mix and Match products from at least 3 different lines.  Here I used products from My Friend Birdie, Willow Bee, Bella Blue and Oscar Too, and Will He B The 1.

Title: Round N Round
Journaling: Nadya & Bianca love going for a carousel ride. 090310
Materials: Cardstock-Bazzill; Patterned papers, journaling sticker, die-cuts - Nikki Sivils; Fabric - Prima; Rubber die-cut - Pink Paislee; Mist - Tattered Angels; Paint - Smooch; Pen - American Crafts, Alpha Stickers - Cosmo Cricket

Notice the pleats? This is another one of my "happy mistakes"! I thought there was too much brown on the LO but I had already adhered the photo and punched the border, so I decided to pleat the the dimension this added to my LO! Try this easy technique out sometime.

Ties That Bind

I was thrilled when Jennifer asked me to be the Guest Designer at Inspired Blueprints! I enjoy working with sketches...even if the resulting LO ends up differently from the original, because they always make the wheels in my head turn in different directions.

I started working on this LO during my Scrappy Birthday Party -- which is always a lot of fun because we combine great friends, good food and juicy "tsismis" or "gossip" -- but "tied" it together later on.

Title: Ties That Bind
Journaling Quote: Family ties are precious threads no matter where we roam; They draw us close to those we love and pull our hearts toward home.
Materials: Patterned papers - October Afternoon, Echo Park; Die-cut Flowers - Sassfras Lass; Puffy Alpha - American Crafts; Script alpha sticker - Webster's Pages; Green Alpha Sticker - Basic Grey; Metal Lacing Brads - Karen Foster; Flair Button - American Crafts; Misc fiber; Sticker Tab - 7 Gypsies; Pen - American Crafts; Acrylic Butterfly - Heidi Swapp; Font: Bradley Hand ICT TT

Can't believe it's November already...time to think of Thanksgiving and Christmas projects...
