Burlap & Buttercups Jan Kit

Here are my LOs for Burlap & Buttercups January kit -- which has, once again, sold out...woohoo!

This 1st LO is for the sketch that comes with the kit. I used pictures from our trip to Hong Kong Disney last year...this gave me a wake-up call to finish scrapping last summer's pics because summer vacation is coming to Manila in a month!!!

This 2nd LO uses a pic from our recent visit to Corregidor Island, where Filipino and American forces made their last stand before falling to Japanese invaders during World War 2.

This next LO uses a pic from last year when we got together with my scrapping friends, and instead of scrapping, we needed up taking each other's photos!

This 4th LO uses pics from our Singapore trip also last summer. Bianca loved this store inside and outside and insisted on having her photos taken with everything! I love the Ali Edwards stamps from Technique Tuesday and try to add a word in every now and then...

Happy New Year!!!

The past month has been unbelievably busy, even more than usual for this time of the year. So here finally are my last completed LOs for 2011...I had committed to do more but I had run out of time...

Here is Burlap and Buttercup's December kit...

and add-on...

And here's my New Year LO...it was the 1st time for us to host our family's New Year's Eve celebration to welcome 2011. We usually go out of town for this to avoid the pollution from the fireworks but we were too lazy to drive out last year.

This LO uses pictures from Christmas Eve when the kids open presents from Mom and Dad and relatives who are present for our Noche Buena.

And here is Christmas Morning when the kids open check out what Santa left for them in their stockings. We have a special plate to put Santa's cookies (plus carrots for the reindeer) on, which the kids made a few years back.

I hope you all had a great 2011 and look forward to an even better 2012!!!

Burlap & Buttercups Nov 2011 Kit

Here are B&Bs November Main Kit and Add-On Kit ...which arrived in the nick of time...meaning just before the end of November...LOL:)

And here are my LOs! Time constraints aside, this kit was such a pleasure to work with that I was able to create these 4 LOs within a 24-hour period...so much fun and so satisfying to be able to churn out this much in so little time!

You will also notice that I just got myself a new batch of border punches, and one of my favorites, Laurel Leaf is in this 1st LO.

Here's another set of border punches, using French Scroll this time. Photos were taken in Hong Kong Disneyland last summer 2010. Why do kids never tire of Disneyland? My hubby and I have practically memorized the LO of HK Disney having been there 5 times in its 5-year history...

Here is another Disney LO, as the girls posed with Eeyore. This Character Garden is unique to HK Disney, there really is nothing to do here but line up to meet and greet characters. Here I used the Wild Flowers border punches and layered my new Harlequin and Chicken Wire templates from Crafter's Workshop.

This next LO features 2 of my best scrapbooking buddies, Pia and Iris. We started out as DT for a local store and have been friends ever since. Aside from scrapbooking, one of our favorite activities is having our photos taken, so we have more to scrap! Here I used my Damask template from Crafter's Workshop and the Eyelet Lace punches from Martha Stewart. I also enjoyed playing with the Kaiser Craft crochet doilies and turned them into gorgeous crochet blooms!

I hope you enjoyed these LOs as much as I enjoyed making them, Head on over to Burlap and Buttercups to grab hold of the few remaining November kits, better yet, sign up for a subscription to receive the coming kits in advance!

Burlap & Buttercups Oct Weekly Challenge

It's my turn again to host this week's challenge at Burlap & Buttercups, and my challenge is to "scrap at an angle".  I love how putting your page elements at a slant gives it a sense of movement and makes an otherwise ordinary LO, much more exciting!

So if you get a chance to do some scrapping this Halloween week-end, why not head on over to Burlap & Buttercups and join our challenge???

Burlap & Buttercups Oct Kit

Here are my LOs for Burlap & Buttercups' awesome Oct main kit...

and the add-on kit...

I loved working with burlap on this LO of my god-daughter Ysabella on her school field trip...isn't she adorable???

This next LO uses the sketch included in the kit and I am so happy to have finally been able to scrap these pics.  This was the last proper Thanksgiving we've had in our home as last year, as well as this year, DH was and will be out of town on Thanksgiving.

My 3rd LO features Nadya in her Alice in Wonderland costume. We went Trick or Treating in my mom's neighborhood and they had a wishing well in the park which was a perfect backdrop for her outfit!

I so want to tell you to rush to get the Oct kit now, but I just learned that we have actually sold out of the October kits so maybe you'll want to take a subscription so you're sure to get the Nov kit???

And finally, here are my 3 LOs made using the main kit and the add-on.

This first one turned out better than I thought considering that the photos were taken using only my iTouch. "Storm" from Kopi Tiam is Bianca's favorite cold dessert and is what she usually asks for when she earns a treat for herself. And she won't even share it with anyone, not even me, as she can finish the whole thing all by herself!

Title: Sweet Summer
Journaling: Bianca & her favorite "Storm" from Kopi Tiam. Summer 2011

This next LO uses photos taken from our last trip to Boracay. To do the butterflies, I stamped with Versamark on a 3M transparency that can be heat embossed, and embossed with black embossing powder. Then I stained the back with alcohol ink and cut them out. I also layered 3 different sizes of the white Prima flowers, inked them while layered and then scrunched each layer for some dimension.

Title: Beach Day
Journaling: Boracay. is. our. favorite. beach. ever.

This next LO again uses a photo from Boracay in 2009. This was the day before we were scheduled to leave and the kids had gotten really tanned after 3 days under the sun! This LO was a lot of fun to put together and I love how the kit had the exact colors I needed to match the photo.

Title: Happy Memories

So hurry and get your own August kit before it rans out at Burlap & Buttercups!
